Japan: Very Strong Typhoon Shanshan Inches Toward Kyushu 3
A very strong Typhoon Shanshan (No. 10) continued to approach Japan slowly on Wednesday, August 28, bringing widespread heavy rains and strong winds.
More than a hundred flights to and from Kyushu were canceled. The Japan Meteorological Agency called on high alert for violent winds, high waves, flooding, and landslides.
