Telegram CEO Pavel Dourov is leaving the police station to go to court, where a judge will decide whether he should be released or imprisoned, in Paris, France on August 28, 2024. The company's founder and CEO was arrested on Saturday 24 August by the French authorities as he landed at Le Bourget airport. The 39-year-old was the subject of a French search warrant as part of an investigation into alleged offences relating to child pornography content, illegal transactions in an organised gang, fraud and drug trafficking.
