Wild weather lashed southeast of Australia overnight from Sunday, September 1 leaving one dead, thousands without power, and damage such as downed trees. While people across Victoria were advised to stay home, evacuation orders were issued for Tasmania. In Melbourne, hail storms were also reported from different areas accompanied by heavy rainfall the next morning.
