The NYPD says in an update that one person is killed and four other people are wounded in a mass shooting at the West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn, New York, United States, on September 2, 2024. At approximately 2:35 pm, Monday afternoon, the New York City Police Department responds to 307 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, New York. A 25-year-old male suffers a gunshot wound to the abdomen and is pronounced dead, a 69-year-old female suffers a gunshot wound to the right shoulder, a 64-year-old male suffers a gunshot wound to the right arm, a 36-year-old male suffers a gunshot wound to the head, and a 16-year-old male suffers a gunshot wound to the left arm.
