China: Fierce Storm Topples Trees In Ya’an, Sichuan Province
On September 2, 2024, in Ya'an, a city in Sichuan Province in southwestern China, a video captured a severe storm with strong winds and heavy rain.
The harsh weather significantly reduced visibility on the roads, making it nearly impossible to see. The wind was so powerful that trees were swaying violently, with small debris flying everywhere, creating a hazardous and frightening scene.
The filmer described how he was driving down the road when he happened to encounter strong convective weather. The violent gusts of wind lasted for twenty minutes, and leaves were flying all over the place. He had to get out of his car and cut down the fallen trees blocking the road before he could pass.
