66-year-old Man Identified As William Alcindor Dead After Being Shot In The Head While Driving Then Striking Female Pedestrian I

Crime scene investigators collect evidence, mark evidence with evidence markers, and inspect the vehicle airbag with blood on it from the victim at the crime scene. William Alcindor, 66, is fatally shot in the head while driving, subsequently loses control of the vehicle, and strikes a pedestrian in the St. Albans section of Queens, New York, United States, on September 16, 2024. At approximately 4:50 p.m. on Monday afternoon in the area of 117th Road and Farmers Boulevard in Queens, NY, William Alcindor, 66, operates a 2014 Nissan SUV when he sustains a gunshot wound to the head while driving eastbound on Baisley Boulevard, then makes a turn onto northbound Farmers Boulevard, and then strikes a 23-year-old female pedestrian as he loses control of the vehicle. Both the pedestrian and the victim who suffers a gunshot wound to the head are taken to the hospital. The female pedestrian is in stable condition, and the man who is shot is pronounced dead.
