Devotees Immerse Eco-friendly Bishwokarma Idols In Nepal
Nepali Hindu devotees immerse the eco-friendly idol of Lord Bishwokarma in the Bagmati River in Kathmandu, Nepal, on September 18, 2024. Bishwokarma, the official builder of all god palaces, is worshipped by people working in the fields of metallurgy and vehicles. According to Hindu mythology, Vishwakarma, the designer of all the flying chariots of the gods and goddesses, also designs and makes weapons for them. In the Mahabharata, the world's biggest epic, he is described as ''The lord of the arts, executor of a thousand handicrafts, the carpenter of gods, most eminent of artisans, the fashioner of all ornaments, and a great and immortal god.''
