2nd Day Of Attempts By Gendarmerie To Clear The 'Verger' ZAD On The Planned A69 Highway
A protester films the excavator beginning to work as policemen are present. For the second day, Gendarmerie and CNAMO try to dislodge 'Ecureuils' (i.e., 'Squirrels') from the trees they occupy at the 'Verger' ZAD (Zone to Defend). The 'Verger' ZAD is situated on the planned and disputed A69 highway project. As Gendarmerie and CNAMO intervene, NGE/Atosca begins the destruction of the house and the cutting of all the trees. 'Zadistes' try to resist Gendarmerie in the 'Verger' house without success. 'Ecureuils' (i.e., 'squirrels') live in the trees of the 'Verger' ZAD. The driver of the excavator is admonished by Gendarmerie for his dangerous behavior with the excavator, putting human lives in danger. The main collective 'La Voie est Libre' (i.e., 'The Way is Free') wants the highway to be stopped until all judicial decisions are made. All expropriations for farmers are not cleared.
