ACI World Projects 9.5 Billion Air Passengers In 2024

Passenger traffic for 2023 reaches 8.7 billion, nearly matching earlier projections. The 2024 forecast estimates 9.5 billion passengers, a 10% year-on-year growth from 2023, representing 104% of 2019 levels. By mid-2024, total passenger traffic increases by 11% year-on-year, with international travel showing a 17% rise, driving recovery. By the end of 2024, international passengers are projected to reach 4.1 billion, while domestic traffic will total 5.4 billion.
