Heavy rainfall triggered flash flooding in multiple municipalities on the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture on Saturday, September 21. The Japan Meteorological Agency issued an emergency rain warning, the highest level of alert, for the cities of Wajima and Suzu, and the town of Noto.
