Golden Statues Honoring Pioneering Women At National Assembly - Paris
The statues of the "ten golden women" revealed at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games have taken their place in the Cour d'Honneur of the Assemblée Nationale, where they are on display until October 5 as part of a free exhibition. Ten large gilded statues representing women who have left their mark on French history (Olympe de Gouges, Alice Milliat, Gisèle Halimi, Simone de Beauvoir, Paulette Nardal, Jeanne Barret, Louise Michel, Christine de Pizan, Alice Guy and Simone Veil) in the fields of science, art, literature, politics or sport, accompanied by attributes (lawyer's gown, book, microphone...) referring to their achievements.
