Rider Compete During The Annual ''Sword-Headed Boat Racing Festival
Riders compete during the annual ''Sword-Headed Boat Racing Festival'' in Nakhon Sawan province, north of Bangkok. The sword-headed boats are modified from fishing boats in Nakhon Sawan province. The bow of the boat curves upwards like a sword so that the boat does not get caught in weeds while fishing, and this is the identity of fishing boats in Nakhon Sawan province. The annual long-tail boat race is held in several districts of Nakhon Sawan province. The race takes place during the flood season and before the end of Buddhist Lent for about 20 years.
