Balinese men make pyramid-like structures using long wooden sticks during the Mekotek ritual in Munggu Village, Bali, Indonesia, on October 5, 2024. Mekotek is a Balinese Hindu tradition held once every six months by the villagers of Munggu as a symbol of victory and is believed to ward off bad luck in the village. The tradition is unique to the village and is attended by all men carrying long wooden sticks around the village.
