Armenia Blessing Of The Holy Myron
The blessing of the Holy Myron takes place in Etchmiadzin, Armenia for the first time in 9 years on September 28, 2024. It symbolizes the Holy Spirit, and its blessing usually takes place every seven years. It is officiated by His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians where he presents the three revered relics of the Armenian Church: the right hand of St. Gregory the Illuminator, the Holy Lance that pierced Christ's side, and the life-giving Cross. His Holiness Karekin Il called on the international community and all attendees to take urgent action towards Azerbaijan and to release unlawfully detained military and political leaders from Nagorno-Karabakh also known as Artsakh.
