Aftermath Massive Floodings Rive De Gier
Aftermath of massive floodings in Rive de Gier near Lyon, France on October 18, 2024. Sirens sounded for long minutes in Rive-de-Gier (Loire) on Thursday October 17. The town is on alert, having been completely destroyed by flooding. In one street, dozens of car wrecks were swept away by the force of the current. It rained for 36 hours without interruption. As a result, the River Gier overflowed its banks and rushed through all the arteries of the town center. We're already talking about a 100-year flood.
