Ales Stenar - Swedish Stonehange

A paraglider flies over the Baltic Sea in Kaseberga, near Ystad, Scane, Sweden, on August 3, 2024. Ales Stenar, also called Swedish Stonehenge, is a complex on a hill on the Baltic Sea coast. Ales Stenar is a megalithic monument in the shape of an oval stone ship, with the stones at each end markedly larger than the rest. It is 67 meters long and formed by 59 large boulders, each weighing up to 1.8 tonnes. Ales Stenar is probably built in the 6th or 7th century by the ancestors of the Vikings.
