Ales Stenar - Swedish Stonehange
People visit Ales Stenar, also called the Swedish Stonehenge, in Kaseberga, near Ystad, Scane, Sweden, on August 3, 2024. Ales Stenar is a megalithic monument in the shape of a stone ship, with an oval outline and stones at each end that are markedly larger than the rest. It is 67 meters long and formed by 59 large boulders, each weighing up to 1.8 tonnes. Ales Stenar was probably built in the 6th or 7th century by the ancestors of the Vikings.
