Tour Of Monumental Alebrijes And International Day Against Breast Cancer In Mexico

Regional dance takes place during the parade of monumental alebrijes in Mexico City, Mexico, on October 19, 2024, from the Zocalo to Paseo de la Reforma, coinciding with the International Day against Breast Cancer in Mexico. According to data from the National Institute of Anthropology and History, alebrijes are a Mexican craft traditionally made with the cartoneria technique. They are fantastic figures that combine physiognomic elements of various animals, whether real or imaginary, and are characterized by being painted with vibrant colors.
