At Least Five People Missing During Catastrophic Flood In Eastern Spain
Several emergency services help in the rescue work, on October 29, 2024, in Letur, Albacete, Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). The old town of Letur, in the Sierra de Segura, has borne the brunt, with the stream overflowing and its streets turning into a torrent, where the water has swept away everything in its path. Around 30 people have been trapped in their homes in the center of Letur, in the vicinity of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, by the flood. Five more people remain in a restaurant and another one has asked for help from the place La Cascada, near the town. Photo by Víctor Fernández / Europa Press/ABACAPRESS.COM
