Cabriel River Overflows In Mira - Spain

Effects of the flood, on October 30, 2024, in Mira, Cuenca, Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). Flooding has occurred in the Cuenca municipality of Mira due to heavy rains, which have caused the river to overflow. The Military Emergency Unit (UME) has acted in the municipality together with the fire department and the Civil Guard, and has rescued about thirty people who were on the roofs of their houses and another twenty neighbors trapped in houses. An 88-year-old woman died when she was trapped in her house, becoming the first person to die in Castilla-La Mancha due to the storm. Photo by Europa Press/ABACAPRESS.COM

Yesterday, another DANA passed through Valencia, much milder than the previous one. Cullera has been the municipality that has registered more rainfall exceeding 90 liters per square meter. Although yesterday, the AEMET activated the red alert in Valencia, today it has lowered it to yellow after the passage of the DANA.
