Hainan Flood Evacuation - China

Rescuers evacuate flood-affected residents at Mocun Village of Boao Town, Qionghai City, south China's Hainan Province, October 30, 2024. Typhoon Trami, the 20th typhoon this year, has brought heavy rainfall to many parts of Hainan since October 28, forcing over 40,000 people to evacuate. Local authorities of Qionghai, one of the worst-hit areas, have initiated Class-I countermeasures as multiple villages along the Wanquan River basin in Qionghai City were flooded due to torrential rainfall over recent days.
