Spain Disaster Death Toll Reaches 214 - Valencia
A river overflowed by the DANA, on October 31, 2024, in Castellón, Valencian Community (Spain). The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated in Castellón the red alert for rainfall of up to 200 liters per square meter caused by the DANA. The Provincial Consortium of Firefighters has carried out several services related to rainfall such as water drainage in homes and rescue of several people. In addition, 21 municipalities have suspended classes because of the storm, which has already left more than 100 dead since its passage through several areas of Spain on October 29.
