At Least 89 People Remain Missing After Floods - Eastern Spain

Volunteers continue cleaning the streets of Paiporta, on November 6, 2024, in Paiporta, Valencia (Comunidad Valenciana). Nine days after the DANA killed 217 people, most of them in Valencia, Paiporta is still one of the most affected areas. Dozens of troops, the Army, the UME and volunteers continue to work removing mud from the streets and debris to return to normal progressively. The ante mortem offices set up by the National Police and the Civil Guard in collaboration with forensic doctors counted 89 cases of active missing persons at the moment.
