12.11.2024, Roosna-Alliku. Today, a geothermal energy pilot plant was opened in Roosna-Alliku, which draws energy from more than 500 meters below the ground. The Estonian Geological Service's experimental geothermal energy that will provide environmentally friendly heat for several locals buildings. The construction of the pilot plant is part of the GEOENEST project, which offers a novel energy solution for the small settlement, replacing the existing oil shale-based boiler.
