15 Days After The Passage Of The DANA Over Valencia

A crane picks up and cleans debris and cars damaged by the DANA on November 13, 2024, in Catarroja, Valencia, Valencian Community (Spain). Last October 29, a DANA devastated the province of Valencia. The country's worst cold drop in a century resulted in 215 fatalities and 23 missing persons. While the population tries to recover from the tragedy, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a new orange alert for the arrival of a new DANA that will arrive from this afternoon-evening to Valencia and could leave ''very heavy and persistent'' rainfall. Although this time the alert is orange and not red, many municipalities have taken preventive measures such as the suspension of classes or the installation of sandbags as a preventive measure against overflowing rivers.
