Poet Shuntaro Tanikawa dies at 92
Shuntaro Tanikawa, a leading poet in postwar Japan also known for his translations of the U.S. cartoon strip "Peanuts," is pictured after receiving a letter of gratitude from Snoopy, the main character of the series, at a hotel in Tokyo in 2007. Tanikawa died on Nov. 13, 2024, aged 92.
