Last October 29, the DANA devastated several areas of Spain, being the province of Valencia the most affected, where the storm left more than 220 dead in its path. Within Valencia, Paiporta was one of the most affected municipalities. The repair and reconstruction of the infrastructures damaged by the floods and their management has been estimated at more than 2,600 million euros by the Regional Ministry of the Environment, Infrastructures and Territory, in addition to the amount of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, which has so far allocated 123 million euros to restore mobility in Valencia and 185 million euros to repair the suburban and high-speed rail network.
