DANA Debris Accumulate In Quarry - Spain
A machine works in the Picassent quarry, where mountains of debris from the DANA accumulate, one month after its passage through Valencia, on November 29, 2024, in Catarroja, Valencia, Valencian Community, Spain. The DANA left a total of 222 people dead and four missing. It also devastated thousands of homes and commercial premises, schools, public buildings, parks, street lamps and trees, and left a large percentage of the population without a car. To date, more than 2,000 residents have not been able to return to their homes and 9,500 students are still unable to attend school. Photo by Rober Solsona/Europa Press/ABACAPRESS.COM
