Bavarian Christmas Markets In Abensberg
The historic center of Abensberg, Bavaria, Germany, on December 5, 2024, becomes a festive destination during the Christmas season. The traditional Niklasmarkt at Castle Garden is voted the 'Most Beautiful Christmas Market in Eastern Bavaria' and attracts many visitors every year. Four Christmas markets in the old town create an atmospheric ambiance. The Huttenzaubermarkt, a smaller market on the town square with the town hall, offers a variety of arts and crafts stalls as well as a selection of culinary delights ranging from sweet treats to savory snacks. Other highlights include a Christmas market in the beer garden on the grounds of the Kuchlbauer brewery with the Kuchlbauer Turm (Kuchlbauer Tower) designed by Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. There are more market stalls at the leaning tower of Abensberg, the KunstHaus (Art House). The KunstHaus is designed by architect and Hundertwasser student Peter Pelikan.
