Controversial Art Installation - Naples

A gigantic vagina sculpture just a few steps away from Gaetano Pesce's “Pulcinella”, which caused such a stir last month. Naples, Italy on December 9, 2024. This morning, in Piazza Municipio, Neapolitans were able to observe not one but two works of art. The police intervened to remove the unauthorized installation. Artivist Cristina Donati Meyer's installation, a heartfelt tribute to the ancient origins of Naples, was placed next to Pesce's carnivalesque phallic structure.
