A strong magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck El Salvador on Sunday, January 5, at 11:18 a.m. local time, according to the USGS.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MARN) reported no tsunami risk and no casualties. The quake was also felt in Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
