Icelandic Sled Dogs
A person guides a dog sled during a tundra crossing in the Husavik region of Iceland on December 30, 2024. Dog sled rides offer a way to explore the winter landscapes of the north of the country. Using mainly Siberian Huskies, known for their resistance to cold and ability to travel long distances, tourists ride across the snowy tundra. Guided by local experts, these tours allow participants to interact with the dogs and learn more about their training and the role they play in the Icelandic sledding tradition. It is a way to discover Iceland's arctic landscape. (Photo by Jorge Mantilla/NurPhoto)
