Kumquat auction in Japan
MIYAZAKI, Japan, Jan. 16 Kyodo - A crowd of prospective buyers gather as boxes of fully ripe "Tamatama" brand kumquats produced in Miyazaki Prefecture in southwestern Japan are sold in the season's first auction in the city of Miyazaki on Jan. 16, 2025. The citrus fruits fetched 100,000 yen ($637) per kilogram in the auction. (Kyodo)
