Toulouse: AESH Protest For Better Working Conditions And Better Wages
A woman holds a placard reading, 'We're there for your children...but who's there for us? 970EUR is our wage!' Following a nationwide call by the FSU, CGT Education, SNALC, and SUD Education to strike and protest, AESH ('Support Assistant for Disabled Pupils') protest in Toulouse, France, on January 16, 2025. As the National Education Ministry prepares for its sixth minister in two years, AESH still await better working conditions and wages. Mainly women work as AESH, often living below the poverty line. They primarily protest against the lack of funding, precarious job contracts, and staff shortages. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)
