Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Repair Work in Progress
Handout photo shows : SES climbers continue to work on partially exposing the shelter structures and eliminating any degradation. Drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras are being used to constantly monitor the situation and identify any new outbreaks. Background radiation levels at the industrial site of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant remain within normal limits. There is no threat to the population. The situation is under control. Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of damaging the containment arch of the damaged Chernobyl nuclear power plant with an explosive drone.
