                      Exclu - Prisoner Escapes As 2 Officers Killed In Van Ambush - France

                      Exclusive - Forensic police analyse the burnt-out car of the assailants found in the middle of a forest near the toll plaza. Two French prison officers were killed in an ambush on a prison van near Rouen in Normandy, France on Tuesday 14 May 2024. The detainee is believed to be Mohamed A., born in 1994, nicknamed "La Mouche", he had several criminal convictions for drug-related offences and attempted homicide. The prisoner was being returned to Évreux prison after attending a court hearing in Rouen this morning. The ambush took place late this morning near a toll booth on the A154 motorway, and was carried out by several individuals who approached the prison convoy in two vehicles. Photo by ABACAPRESS.COM
