The Cabazon Dinosaurs - California
The Cabazon Dinosaurs, located near Palm Springs, California, are iconic roadside attractions with a fascinating history. They were created by sculptor Claude K. Bell in the 1960s to draw customers to his nearby restaurant, the Wheel Inn. The first dinosaur, a 150-foot-long Brontosaurus named Dinny, was constructed over 11 years using materials salvaged from the construction of Interstate 10. A second dinosaur, a Tyrannosaurus rex named Mr. Rex, was added in 1981 March 10, 2025 Cabazon, California. Photo by Paul Harris Photography/ABACAPRESS.COM
