Memorial ceremony on Iwoto Island
Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba (front) visits Iwoto Island, previously known as Iwojima, on March 29, 2025, to attend a Japan-U.S. joint memorial service to commemorate the war dead on the Pacific Ocean island.
