Overnight rainfall hit Chiang Mai from Saturday night, May 25, through Sunday morning, May 26, triggering flooding and the closure of at least one national park. A yellow-level warning was issued for Mae Rim district after the area recorded 103 mm of rainfall within 12 hours. Authorities have urged residents and tourists to exercise caution.
