Royal Visit To Guadalupe
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia greet senior ecclesiastical officials during a visit to the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe, on May 28, 2025, in Guadalupe, Caceres, Extremadura (Spain). Before visiting the monastery, the King and Queen had a meeting with the Municipal Corporation in the Monastery of Guadalupe. Guadalupe was declared a Historic-Artistic Site and World Heritage Site in 1993, and the Royal Monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe has been "witness to decisive moments" in the history of Spain, such as the audience in which the Catholic Monarchs offered the caravels to Columbus.
