Queen Letizia At 84th Madrid Book Fair - Madrid
The mayor of Madrid, Jose Luis Martinez-Almeida (r), and Queen Letizia (c) during the inauguration of the 84th Madrid Book Fair at the Retiro Park, on May 30, 2025, in Madrid, Spain. This edition of the Book Fair is dedicated to New York City and will run for seventeen days, until June 15. Among the authors who will participate are Vivian Gornick, Junot Díaz and Katie Kitamura. Along the Paseo de Coches del Retiro, 365 booths will be set up, six more than in the previous edition, which will include 121 bookstores and 214 publishers. More than 6,000 book signings will take place there, with the presence of writers such as Juan Gómez-Jurado, Javier Castillo, María Dueñas, Julia Navarro, Carmen Mola, Milena Busquets, Javier Cercas and Fernando Aramburu, among many others.
