Thousands Told to Stay Home as Spain Forest Fire Rages on
Smoke from the Paüls fire, on July 8, 2025, in Aldover, Tarragona, Catalonia (Spain). The fire is active and out of control, with wind gusts up to 90km/h. It is estimated that more than 2,500 hectares are burned by the fire in Paüls, which has forced the confinement of more than 2,000 people and has only been raised in the Remolins neighborhood of Tortosa.
