Fire in Mentrida Contained After Burning 3,100 Hectares - Spain

The Military Emergency Unit (UME) continues to be active in extinguishing the fire that started yesterday in the town of Méntrida, Toledo, and has spread to the municipality of Navalcarnero, in the southwest of the Community of Madrid. It does it with 123 military, 43 vehicles and three drones, carrying out during the night missions of direct attack to the fire, which is already perimetered although it is still in the control phase, having spread to more than 3,000 hectares between Castilla-La Mancha and the Community of Madrid.
