Typhoon Wipha - China
Rescuers evacuate a man trapped inside a vehicle hit by fallen trees and road lamp in Luohu District, Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, July 20, 2025, ahead of Typhoon Wipha's landfall. Typhoon Wipha, the sixth typhoon of the year, made landfall near Jiangmen City in south China's Guangdong Province around 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Guangdong provincial meteorological observatory. At landfall, the maximum wind speed near its center reached 33 meters per second. Wipha is expected to move west-southwestward at a speed of 20 to 25 km per hour.
