200+ Mayors Rally in Bilbao Against Basque Language Ruling - Spain

Appearance of mayors and municipal representatives, to denounce the last sentence of the Supreme Court (SC), on July 24, 2025, in Bilbao, Biscay, Basque Country (Spain). More than 200 mayors and municipal representatives from different parties and sensibilities from Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa are holding this Thursday in Bilbao an event called by Euskalgintzaren Kontseilua in "defense of the Basque language" to denounce the ratification by the Supreme Court of the annulment of several articles of the Basque Decree on the use of the Basque language in local entities.                       Bilbao's Big Week 2025 begins - Spain

Bilboko Aste Nagusia is Bilbao's main festival, held annually for nine days starting on the Saturday following August 15.
