Unemployment in Spain Drops to 2.4 Million Lowest in 18 Years

Unemployment registered in the offices of the public employment services fell by 1,357 persons in July with respect to the previous month (-0.06%) to a total of 2,404,606. For its part, Social Security gained an average of 4,408 contributors in July with respect to the previous month (0.02%) and the system reached a new all-time high, with 21,865,503 members, according to data published Monday by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy and the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, respectively.
