Civil Guard Highlights Major Ivory Seizure in Spain
A Guardia Civil officer shows one of the largest seizures of ivory pieces in Spain, at the Guardia Civil Command of Valencia, on August 4, 2025, in Valencia, Valencian Community (Spain). The operation began when in October 2024 an unusually high traffic of ivory pieces was detected in the province of Valencia. The agents located a trading company in Valencia where 127 ivory pieces of different sizes, carved in a minimalist style, mainly with Asian aesthetics, were on display.
