France Battles Largest Wildfire in Decades

A wildfire raging in the department of Aude in the south of France, on August 6, 2025. Leaving August 5, 2025, afternoon from the village of Ribaute, between Carcassonne and Narbonne, the largest wildfire of the summer in France ravaged 16,000 hectares of vegetation and pine forest by August 6, 2025, evening, "more than the city of Paris," according to a French colonel.
