Recap: Wildfire Scorches 17,000 Hectares in Aude, Southern France
A wildfire that burned through more than 17,000 hectares (42,000 acres) in Aude, southern France, is now under control.
A woman was killed and 13 people, including 11 firefighters, were injured in the blaze, which broke out near the village of Ribaute on August 5, 2025.
