Cyanobacteria Suspected At The Lac de Pareloup - Aveyron
The Lac de Pareloup, located in the Aveyron region of France, is the fifth largest hydroelectric reservoir in the country in terms of area. The impounding of water from an EDF dam represents a pivotal element of the hydrological cycle. The presence of algae and suspected cyanobacteria was identified recently in the area. The spell of very hot weather is undoubtedly the cause of this phenomenon, which is occurring for the first time on this site.
